# Development of a COST action application to fund a Space Life Sciences European Network

Hi everyone,
I’m involved in a consortium of European researchers who are developing a COST action funding application for a Space Life Sciences European Network. ([https://www.cost.eu/](https://www.cost.eu/)). The consortium is led by Willian Da Silveria at the University of Salford in the UK, and we are currently in the early stages of planning. The long-term goal for the network is to submit a Horizon Europe proposal, and the COST action will provide 4 years of networking funding.
As part of the application, we must ensure we include at least 6 members from the following countries:
French Guiana, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, Reunion Island and Saint-Martin (France), Azores and Madeira (Portugal), and the Canary Islands (Spain) Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Türkiye, Ukraine

Hi @jessicadurbano, the COST action is pan-European, so members from Italy are welcome- if you drop me an email I can note your interest for follow up 🙂
Our main aim at the moment is trying trying to recruit members from the countries in the list above - unless we get 6 members from these countries, we can’t apply for the funding.
