Dont know about these awards but wonder if anyone outside of Darpa or the Human Effectiveness division of the Airforce might be doing research on how to genetically alter humans to better resist radiation? there are genes we have which we share with other organisms which could be turned on increase DNA and RNA repair rates. Actually their are already off the shelf drugs which inadvertently are being used to augment DNA repair rates but its not called that at all.. can anyone guess what I am talking about?
