Dear AWG members, [@MicrobesAWG](https://awg.osdr.space/groups/microbesawg) We are pleased to announce the launch of the **Microbes AWG Oral Microbiome Subgroup**. The goal of this group is to collaborate with professionals from various fields to develop research ideas and projects aimed at **exploring the oral microbiome and its adaptations in space environments.** The group will be co-led by: Dr. Dirk Neefs([@DirkNeefs](https://awg.osdr.space/u/dirkneefs)): [info@dirkneefs.com](mailto:info@dirkneefs.com) Dr. Jonathon Baker([@jonathon\_baker](https://awg.osdr.space/u/jonathon_baker)): [bakerjo@ohsu.edu](mailto:bakerjo@ohsu.edu) Ms. Christine Gatt([@christinegatt](https://awg.osdr.space/u/christinegatt)): [christinascicluna@gmail.com](mailto:christinascicluna@gmail.com) Our monthly meetings will take place on the **second Tuesday of each month at 19:00 CET** , with the first one scheduled for [Tuesday, October 8th 2024 (link in the AWG Meeting Calendar)](https://awg.osdr.space/t/microbes-awg-oral-microbiome-subgroup/1217). Agenda for our first meeting: 1. **Introductory Session** – A chance for all attendees to get to know each other, discuss our skills, and understand how we can best contribute. 2. **Presenting Our Vision** 3. **Brainstorming Session** – An open discussion to generate ideas for potential projects and articles.
