Hi everyone! 👋

I’m Yosana, a third-year B.E. Computer Science and Engineering student at Chennai Institute of Technology, India.

My interests lie at the intersection of **Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, scientific computing, and space research**. I’m particularly fascinated by the potential of AI/ML to uncover meaningful insights from scientific and space-biology data.

I’m delighted to join the **AI/ML Open Science Analysis Working Group** and am looking forward to gaining new perspectives, contributing to ongoing initiatives, and collaborating with researchers and fellow members across the community.

Excited to learn, contribute, and explore what we can build together! 🚀

**Looking forward to connecting with you all!**

Welcome @Yosana 👋

Make sure to spend time looking at all the data and tools to come up with new investigations. Looking at previous studies is quite useful too.

With a CS background, start with the free AI/ML for space biology training so the biology side catches up to your computing side: [https://www.nasa.gov/reference/gl4u-training-resources/](https://www.nasa.gov/reference/gl4u-training-resources/) Then work through the BioData API example calls and pull a dataset yourself. That combination gets you further in a week than reading about it does.

For the AI/ML AWG, reach out to @vaishnavi.nagesh, @james.casaletto to get involved and introduce yourself at the next monthly meeting.

Pick a project from the [master table](https://awg.osdr.space/t/how-to-be-involved-master-table-of-open-sub-group-projects/1233/40) and get to that meeting on the [calendar](https://awg.osdr.space/upcoming-events) (log in first).

Cheers,
-Ryan
