I am currently pursuing a Master’s by Research at The University of Edinburgh, focusing on the effects of spaceflight on cellular senescence, utilising datasets provided by NASA-Genelabs.

My research interests lie at the intersection of Bioinformatics and Synthetic Biology, with a particular focus on investigating the genetic alterations experienced by astronauts during space missions. Building on my background in genetic engineering and bioinformatics, I want to transition from in silico analysis to in vitro studies. This will not only validate the observed genetic changes but also allow for the testing of potential therapeutic interventions to mitigate these alterations.

By joining the AWG forum I hope to network and also share ideas with experienced researchers, so that I too can fulfil my goal of contributing to and advancing the applications of biological research in space.
