Hi! I’m a Melbourne based Aussie scientist interested in microbiome studies and science communication.

I’m particularly interested in designing and optimising 16s rRNA metagenomic sequencing with challenging samples such as highly contaminated, degraded or low yield samples - everything from sample collection, optimising DNA extraction to building a custom bioinformatics pipelines to capture as much as data as possible from difficult to obtain samples.

I’m really passionate about robust experimental design, reporting with integrity and a supporting like minded community!
