I’m a neuroscientist, statistical consultant, and software developer whose current research focus is cellular senescence and neurodegeneration in the context of aging, disease, and spaceflight.
My PhD is in mathematical and computational psychological sciences (clinical-cognitive neuroscience focus), my MS is in clinical psychology, and my BA is in political science (philosophy of science and medicine track). I work at the intersection of genetics, bioinformatics, pathology, and immunology and specialize in spatial transcriptomics; other methods I frequently use include single-cell multi-omics, CRISPR, machine learning classification, factor (mixture) models, multilevel modeling, and simulation-based power analysis.
I tend to operate in interdisciplinary spaces, with a common thread of advancing both basic and translational research using specialized quantitative approaches, scientific software, and technology.
