I am a Researcher, CEO and founder of LIASTRA (www.liastra.com), with international academic and scientific experience. I have a degree in Biomedical Sciences at University of Aveiro - UA, Portugal, a renowned university among the 500 best in the world, which I was approved in first place when I was only 17 years old, thus earning a merit scholarship at the Portuguese university. I’m in graduate school in Astronomy, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Machine Learning. I’ve already published articles in impact scientific journals, I published my first article at the age of 19 in the Journal of Proteome Research indexed in Elsevier, alongside scientists like Margarida Fardilha and Rui Victorino, two of the greatest scientists in Portugal and best in the world. I worked as an intern researcher at the iBIMED laboratory at the University of Aveiro, a laboratory which in 2020 and 2021, during my graduation, was the front line in COVID-19 studies. I was also a reviewer of scientific articles at Elsevier at only 21 years old, in addition to several articles and scientific papers published in the area of neuroscience, pediatrics, oncology, and AI, adding citations in databases such as Scopus and Web of Science, and scoring in the Research Gate. I am also the author of academic book chapters on clinical emergencies, neuroblastoma and acute myeloid leukemia. I received the NASA TOPS (Transform to Open Science) coat of arms and medals in the Asteroid Hunter program (IASC/NASA/MCTI), with 4 provisional asteroids, +50 medals in Scientific Olympiads, and UA Undergraduate Medal of Honor. In addition, I have led teams in Hackathons since 2019 and have also previously participated in the NASA Space Apps Challenge, in which my team was named worldwide and chosen as People’s Choice. I also presented scientific works and posters at international congresses. However, my greatest achievement was having created LIASTRA, a startup that has been growing every day as a company and institution. These achievements reflect my dedication to uniting science, education, innovation, inspiring new generations to engage in the world of science and research.
