I am an active-duty Officer in the US Army where I work as a Research Physiologist in the Military Performance Division at the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine. My mission is to optimize Warfighter health and performance through medical research.

I have a BS in Microbiology, MS in Human Performance, and PhD in Rehabilitation Science, all from the University of Florida. I completed a NIH postdoctoral fellowship in Exercise Medicine and Sports Nutrition at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I use a combination of cell culture, rodent models, human clinical trials, and field studies to determine how the body adapts to training, drugs, and recovers from injury.
