Shai is a seasoned entrepreneur with a proven track record of launching several startup companies in the field of nanotechnology, medical device and Biotech. Shai is the founder of allerguard, the first food allergens airborne detection technology. He led the company as CEO from the early days of R&D until it was selected as a finalist for the Foodtech500 list, the world’s first definitive list of global entrepreneurial talent at the intersection of food, technology, and sustainability.

Today, Shai serves as a business advisor to several startup companies, including TransPod, the ultra-high-speed transportation company. He is also being mentor at the entrepreneurship program at Kellogg School of Management and also at the MIT Venture Advancement Program.

In addition, Shai is the Co-Founder and CEO of Eternium Medical, a startup company focused on developing a cutting-edge diagnostic tool capable of monitoring health biomarkers in real time. The EM device offers diagnostic capabilities at the molecular level, harnessing the power of chemistry to create a novel sensing device with robust molecular recognition.

Shai brings extensive business development and technology experience to his work. Prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors, he held various technology roles in companies such as Tower Semiconductor (TLV: TSEM) and the pharmaceutical giant Teva (NYSE: TEVA). In 2019, Shai was honored with the Top 50 Healthcare Technology CEO’s award by Technology Innovators Magazine.
