My name is Shankia Neko Brooks,

I am affiliated with NCAS NASA Scholars. I am also affiliated with PTK Honors Society. I am a Biomedical Engineer major, studying at Miami Dade College, where I focus on maintaining a strong G.P.A. My goal is to be a research scientist in my field.

Recently, I was accepted to University Of Miami Motivation Program, where I will be transferring in 2026 & adding premedical studies to my degree. After completion of the Motivation Program, I was named Premedical Alumni with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. My academic journey includes Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and other disciplines.

I also love all things space. From NASA programs to space biology research, I am deeply inspired by the possibilities beyond Earth. Once I complete my degree, I strongly desire to explore opportunities that will allow me to contribute to humanity’s future in space, and one day, dwell in the outer limits.
