Hi everyone! I’m Tina (Yi Jin) Hsieh – a medical doctor with training in epidemiology, biostatistics, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. I earned my MD in Taiwan, completed an MPH at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Bioinformatics at Harvard Medical School.
My work lies at the intersection of reproductive health, immunology, and data science. I’m especially interested in applying machine learning, multi-omics, and open-source tools to study gynecologic diseases and maternal-fetal immune interactions. I’m curious about how environmental exposures—including those encountered during spaceflight—impact hormonal regulation, immune function, and long-term reproductive health.
I plan to become an OB/GYN physician-scientist, bridging computational research with clinical care to advance women’s health and precision medicine. I’m excited to collaborate within the AWG—particularly in Female Reproductive Health, AI/ML, and Multi-Omics—to contribute to open, interdisciplinary science.
