Hello everyone ,

I’m Vishwanath Barve, a First-Year B.Tech student and a passionate Cybersecurity, AI/ML, and developer working with FAANG-level teams & communities.

I’m excited to share that I’m starting a new research-oriented AI/ML project aligned with NASA’s Analysis Working Groups (AWG) and the Open Science Data Repository (OSDR).


Project I’m Building: SpaceOmics-Integr8

An interpretable multimodal AI model that integrates transcriptomics, epigenomics, and mission metadata from NASA OSDR/GeneLab datasets to predict and explain spaceflight-induced biological changes.

Core Goals

  • Build a robust multi-omics ML pipeline using NASA OSDR datasets

  • Identify reproducible biomarkers of microgravity + space radiation

  • Use explainable AI (SHAP, attention, integrated gradients)

  • Enable cross-mission, cross-organism generalization

  • Publish the full pipeline openly for the AWG community
