Dear all,

As I recall from our last discussion, we planned to explore the MGnify API to identify oral microbiome–related studies. I have looked into biome categories related to the oral microbiome and its subgroups (e.g., saliva, oral cavity, etc.) and identified 161 studies, comprising nearly 24,000 samples.

These samples span different data types, including genome, amplicon, and metagenomic data. They can be further filtered based on our specific requirements—for example, if we decide to focus only on metagenomic samples.

I can also share the code used to extract this information via the API. Additionally, this could be converted into a GUI so that other researchers can directly use it according to their needs.

We can discuss this further during the meeting and refine the filtering criteria based on the next steps and requirements.

I am not sure how to upload the Excel file, as the channel does not seem to allow attachments. Is there a shared drive or link where I can upload it?
