Monthly Animal AWG Meeting: Wednesday, January 28th, 2026: 12 noon to 1pm EST

:rocket: Friendly monthly Animal AWG meeting reminder - Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28th from 12 to 1 pm EST

Dr. Alexa Sadier, CNRS, ISEM, Université de Montpellier, IRD, Montpellier, France, will chat more about her recent publication with fellow animal AWGers (Drs. Agata Rudolf and Masafumi Muratani), which integrates theoretical and experimental data from Earth and space studies to explore the evolutionary trajectories life might take beyond Earth. They have interpreted current knowledge from ground-based, spaceflight and analogue environment biological studies across a wide range of organisms, and emphasize the need for multigenerational studies for accurately predicting and detecting diverse forms of life beyond Earth. She will also present an example of plasticity led evolution using previous data from GeneLab.
