Looking for a student intern to develop AI applications with foundation models to advance how we analyze and interact with NASA’s expanding space biology datasets. This opportunity is with the AI for Life in Space (AI4LS) team as part of the Summer 2025 Space Life Sciences Training Program (SLSTP) at NASA Ames.
What you’ll be working on:
• Developing LLM-powered applications for knowledge extraction and automation
• Creating tools that enhance data accessibility and scientific discovery
Who should apply:
• Undergraduate students entering their junior or senior year OR graduating seniors starting graduate school in Fall 2025
• Students with a background in computer science or data science
If you’re interested (or know someone who might be), check out the website for more details!
Can a full time professional work on this as a part time opportunity? I work for a consulting firm and would love to learn more about open source collaboration.
Hi Walter
I have forwarded this within UCSF and to our UC Space Health interns.
Great to see you at IWS!
