I am looking for an ambitious and motivated Ph.D. student interested in advancing knowledge in cell signaling and therapeutic targets critical to exercise physiology, space exploration, and chronic diseases!
A Ph.D. student position with a full graduate assistantship is available in the Department of Kinesiology at Iowa State University, starting in the Spring semester of 2025. This opportunity is in Dr. Kamal’s lab, focusing on NASA life sciences, oxidative stress, inflammation regulation, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and sex differences in physiological responses. The research will utilize animal models, cell culture, and various cellular and molecular techniques such as Histology, IF microscopy, Western Blots, PCR, and Bioinformatics. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields, TOEFL scores, and laboratory research skills.
