Reviewers Requested for Microbial Plate-Based Assay Metadata

We are in need of Subject Matter Experts to review the draft of the metadata table for the Microbial Plate Assay.

Please refer to this FAQ document which explains what these assay metadata drafts are, and how to provide feedback on them. We have separate metadata templates to capture sample-level information, such as subject and sample background/treatments/independent variables, therefore the focus of the assay metadata is on experiment procedures beyond sample prep. Once we get feedback from at least 3 SMEs, then the draft is turned into a configuration in our repo, where it can be used to collect metadata for the studies we host at OSDR. These assay configurations can be modified at any time as well, if we receive feedback later about changes that should be made, so please feel free to also take a look at any of the configs in this list, not just those at the bottom that are not yet in our system.

We also have FAQs and tutorials in the ‘Help’ section at the top right of the OSDR site, which explains a bit more about the overall submission process, if you are curious about how these fit into the larger context.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out here, or via email at rachel.r.gilbert@nasa.gov

Hey Rachel, I am happy to help with this if you need.

Sure! Let me know if you have any suggested improvements to the config - you can put feedback directly in the sheet (to the right of the table) or send me feedback directly. I am making attempts to standardize parameter and protocol names internally, I promise! But I confess that I am not adhering strictly to ontologies.
