Hi everyone interested in the @AIMLawg Causal Inference sub-group led by @pmisra30
I have updated the Causal Inference mtg to be rescheduled to tomorrow, Thursday, 2/13, 11:00a PT - 12:00 PT (2:00p ET - 3:00 ET)
Pramod - let me know if it needs to move again (as it overlaps with Digital Twin).
Sorry about the Discourse bug, where you can’t edit the calendar invite. Something about if I edit it, as Admin, you then can’t edit your own post? I’ve added a complaint to the Discourse support help
Sorry for the confusion to all who tried to login to the google meet invite, including @yigitkucuk92
Hi @pmisra30 and maybe @rtscott2001 would it be possible to update the calendar invite here on the forum? I believe we are meeting 1:30PM Pacific time every other Monday starting next Monday 3/24.
Hi all - thank you for a great discussion today. Below please find notes/action items:
James Casaletto @james.casaletto will start to research the best way to generate a “ground truth” dataset, e.g. structural equation modeling or generating a tabular dataset from a causal directed acyclic graph
Yigit Kucuk @yigitkucuk92 will start to compare all the existing causal ML methods (e.g. DoWhy or Causal-Learn), creating little notebooks to showcase each method, which will eventually use the synthetic “ground truth” data that James will generate.
Anna Leukowicz @anna.lewkowicz will start to research an interesting space biology research project upon which we can apply causal inference, and will also reach out to the Imageomics Institute at OSU to see whether they are working on causal models for images.
We are also shifting this meeting over 1 week, so starting next Monday March 31 we will meet every-other-week at 1:30PM Pacific time. @rtscott2001 could we please edit the forum calendar to reflect this?
So you are meeting 3/31?
Thats when the calendar invite should be altered to?
Would be best if someone from Causal Inf group started a new calendar invite, or @pmisra30 edits the one currently on Thursdays?
Sorry, I haven’t been able to attend the meetings due to CET timing issues @pmisra30@lauren.sanders
Would definitely try to attend the next one. CRISP is quite exciting! Received around 5 emails with meeting notes yesterday (not sure why so many- maybe multiple AI note takers were used). @soroush.seylani do you have a list of radiation resistance genes? @aman and I could both use it for our Radiation protection papers. Thanks.
