Introducing Myself — Srinibash Tarenia
Hello everyone! I’m Srinibash Tarenia, an Integrated M.Sc. Biotechnology student.
My interests lie at the intersection of biotechnology, bioinformatics, and space biology, with a particular curiosity about how life adapts, survives, and functions under extreme environments.
My current areas of interest include:
Molecular biology & genomics
Microbial biotechnology and microbial survival
Bioinformatics & computational biology
Space biology and astrobiology
Biotechnology for long-duration space missions
Biological systems for sustainable space exploration
I’m especially interested in exploring questions such as how microorganisms respond to space-associated stresses, how genomic and computational approaches can help understand these adaptations, and how biological systems could contribute to future human space exploration.
I’m joining the Astrobiology Working Group (AWG) with the goal of learning from researchers and students across disciplines, developing collaborations, and contributing my perspective from biotechnology and computational biology.
I would be particularly interested in connecting with members working in space microbiology, microbial ecology, genomics, bioinformatics, biotechnology, and life-support or biomanufacturing systems.
I’m looking forward to learning, contributing, and connecting with everyone in the AWG community. ![]()
