Looking for speakers for EUSynbioS!

I would like to share that we are currently organizing an upcoming Space Festival (July edition) at the European Society of Synthetic Biology, and we are actively looking for speakers interested in contributing to interdisciplinary discussions at the intersection of biology and space.

We are particularly seeking speakers in the following areas:
• Omics (space omics, astronaut omics, environmental monitoring)
• Synthetic biology systems for space applications
• Space medicine and astronaut health
• Space policy and governance
• ISRU (In-Situ Resource Utilization)
• Other space technologies relevant to enabling sustainable space exploration

This is a great opportunity to share your work, engage with an interdisciplinary audience, and help shape conversations in this rapidly growing field.

If you are interested in speaking or would like to recommend someone, please reply here or feel free to contact me directly. We would be happy to provide more details.

Looking forward to your contributions and suggestions.

Ofc!! The European Synthetic Biology Society (EUSynbioS) is organizing the Space Festival, an ambitious month-long initiative taking place this July to explore the critical intersection between synthetic biology and space exploration. As a non-profit dedicated to science policy and outreach, our goal is to bring together the brightest minds in the field to discuss how biological innovation can support life beyond Earth.

To make this happen, we are reaching out to leading research institutions to invite their scientists to take center stage as guest speakers. We are looking for experts in areas like astrobiology, life-support systems, and space medicine to lead one-hour sessions—either through formal lectures or interactive panel discussions—held every Tuesday and Thursday (16:00–18:00 CET).

Right now we still have 4 slots free for selected speakers from AWG groups. This isn’t just a technical seminar; it’s a high-visibility platform that connects researchers with a global audience of peers, industry leaders, and policymakers. For the participating center, it is a unique opportunity to showcase their cutting-edge work and inspire the next generation of scientists, much like the outreach efforts that originally inspired this very initiative. Essentially, we are building a bridge between today’s laboratory research and the future of human presence in the cosmos.

I saw that it’s virtual, if it’s possible to submit a video and the following topic is relevant:

I would like to participate. I believe it can be integrated very well with synthetic biology.
