With a CS background, start with the free AI/ML for space biology training so the biology side catches up to your computing side: https://www.nasa.gov/reference/gl4u-training-resources/ Then work through the BioData API example calls and pull a dataset yourself. That combination gets you further in a week than reading about it does.

Pick a project from the master table and get to that meeting on the calendar (log in first).
