Hello AWG Members,
OSMED is hosting a public Member Highlight conversation on June 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET featuring Dr. Laura Thomas, Chartered Psychologist, Human Performance Specialist, and Founder of Source Coherence.
This conversation will be hosted by Phnam Bagley, Project Lead of Orbital Hospital and co-founder of Nonfiction. Together, Phnam and Dr. Thomas will explore human performance, adaptation, resilience, decision-making, and life in extreme environments.
Dr. Thomas brings more than 15 years of experience supporting individuals and teams operating in complex and high-stakes conditions, including military personnel, analog astronaut crews, polar expedition teams, and senior leaders. Her work focuses on how people think, respond, and adapt under pressure, and how those insights can inform future exploration environments.
Phnam will guide the conversation through the lens of space architecture, orbital habitats, neurotechnology, and breakthrough hardware design for Earth and space.
As human exploration moves farther beyond Earth, understanding the human side of performance becomes just as important as the systems, habitats, and technologies that support the mission.
