Thank you all for coming today! Dr. Richard Barker led a spirited discussion on integrating regolith-based agriculture, hydroponics, mycoponics, and other potential off-world agricultural systems. Like on Earth, multiple cultivation systems will be needed to provide ample healthy food. We also had a great discussion on the need for a lunar base and the competition between lunar and Martian research objectives. Feel free to contact him if you have ideas for collaboration or if you would like to add to the datasets we discussed.

We did not discuss the decision framework for Mars. As always, please put your ideas in the google doc. We are still looking at what direction we want to take this. If you are interested in leading the mapping effort, let me know.
Again, thanks to all who came. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday October 21st at 11 am (Chicago). We will continue the discussion from today, and we will work on setting expectations and goals for our projects.
