Howdy all!
The Regolith AWG will be hosting their monthly meeting this Wednesday (8/19) at 11 am CDT. Last month’s discussion on regolith simulant selection and sterilization was spirited and fruitful, and we’re excited to have another exciting meeting. Jared Long-Fox will be giving a talk on his research, which has encompassed regolith uses for both life support and engineering. He has also worked extensively on simulant development, and he is the scientific advisor for Hispansion.
Jared has recently published a paper on modeling excavation mechanics for planetary surfaces. Definitely worth a read. The link to the paper is here: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0094576526004364
All are welcome to attend. If you have questions, you can reach out to Borja Barcenilla or myself. The links and ics are in the AWG calendar. Additionally, the information is linked below. Hope to see y’all there!
