Shape analysis identifies fat droplet subtypes in fatty liver disease

A student I mentored applied my shape analysis algorithm to quantify phenotypes of fat droplets in fatty liver disease. See her video below. She would be happy to collaborate with people to analyze their data set.

Below are two papers showing the how microgravity induces a fatty liver phenotype. One of them uploaded data to OSDR!

Hi @dave,

I just saw her video and the research is really interesting. I would love to learn, collaborate, and help analyze the dataset.

Hi Swathiga, What is your email? Email me at dave@tsg-lab.org and I will connect you to Cinty. You should look into how to download the data for OSDR and become familiar with the types of images that they have. Based on the quality of the images, we will decide on how to best segment the fat droplets.
