UK biobank paper and SF studies - Female Repro

Hello,
This paper just came out:
https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-024-07931-x
I was wondering if we could leverage potential access to the UK biobank in general to compare it to spaceflight studies. Were the highlighted variants found in space studies?
Thanks.
F.

Hi, I’ve closely followed the research generated from the UK Biobank. It would indeed be a game changer if we had access to the deidentified data.
I’ll be presenting our study on Cancer and Spaceflight in the upcoming ASGSR. If you’re there, I’d love to meet and discuss further.

Best,
Anu

Yes this is great! We should pull in @Joseph_Guarnieri Joseph Guanieri and @dr.richard.barker Richard Barker who I am working closely with now on several projects that would benefit from this collaboration! I also maybe able to pull in some support at the Purdue level… this could be big!!

I will be there… we should talk about primary stress pathways and indirect microgravity stress that is part of the high CO2/redox stress environment in spaceflight. The new work we are doing in computational biophysics will change the way we look at spaceflight pathology… we can meet and talk before the meeting! porterf@purdue.edu

In one of our works we are using UK Biobank data. This the link to the AMS.

If you have already registered with UK Biobank, you can apply to access the resource via the Access Management System (AMS).To complete the a… https://search.app/9FxPHCsXWHZmYHEAA

@MarshallPorterfield Great! Looking forward to this new collaboration!

@AfshinBeheshti @rtscott2001 @chm2042 @joseph.j.borg @jang1563 might as well be interested in this idea @abegum can we add data from your repository as well?
I know Ryan and Joseph are not going for ASGSR24. How about the others?

Definitely we can discuss it:

Just changed this discussion to public, so more than only Female Repro AWG members can chime in  - also so more can consider joining the Female Repro AWG mtg

Thank you, I thought I replied to everyone but probably not

You did, Fathi started this chat as a message only to Female Repro AWG members

I have just received approval for UKB data for my project. I wonder if I could edit project proposal to add potentially more collaborators? The original proposal is to look at validate immune signatures in aging population (particularly females) and cancer survivors.
