We’ll have our AWG Social Wednesday night, Dec 3rd, starting ~6pm until closing at 10pm of the “Terrace Room lounge at Different Pointe of View” which is within the Tapatio Hilton (link to lounge website).
The Hilton Tapatio is VERY isolated from other restaurants (there is nothing in walking distance), hence why I propose we all converge there. Google map showing how isolated the hotel is from any other businesses, restaurants, etc.
Indeed, I am somewhat impressed (and grateful) the meeting is still happening. Did you hear from @Alex@stefan_green Haley Sapers? Their session was accepted at AbSciCon in May ‘26 in Wisconsin

The student board is hosting a trivia night on Wednesday 6:30-8:30pm that is open to everyone to join. Question themes include missions, space science, sci fi, and more. We will have food, non-alcoholic beverages provided and an array of prizes (some including exclusive ASGSR quarter zips, unique ASGSR discipline stickers, gift cards, and a handful of donated merch from past/present exhibitors). Apologies for not seeing this before but it would be so great if the AWGs could join. It should be quite the event that I’m hoping will bond ASGSR members at the start of the conference. Additionally all is welcomed to buy their own drinks at the hotel bar outside and bring them in. If it’s a hit, stay tuned for the open bar next year. Totally understandable if reservations have been made already for this social but wanted to note this event in incase you all could make it!
