Extremophiles & resilience - New project proposal

Hi all,

I am an Industry-based research contributor to the Microbes AWG and a member of a subgroup on biofilms.

I’m interested in starting a new project analysing extremophile bacterial species genomic data to identify target genes associated with environmental phenotypic resilience, stressor tolerance (for example radiation tolerance, heat, cold) and functional metabolite production. Findings can inform on the guidance and design of synthetic switches and constructs to optimise gene expression pathways in adapted species for harsh micro-gravity environments.

I am happy to invite anyone who may be interested to collaborate with me on this, I would like to begin by compiling a draft database of GOI (genes of interest).
