Hello Everyone,
We’re excited to welcome a guest speaker at the next “Female Repro AWG”, on 4/21/25 April Monday at 1pm EST. You can find the meeting link under the “AWG Meeting Calendar”.

Dr. Ananth Kumar Kammala, Assistant Professor at UTMB, will provide insights into pregnancy-specific PBPK models. His research focuses on drug transport and metabolism at the feto-maternal interface, and has an interest in space medicine. Dr. Kammala’s lab integrates organ-on-chip platforms with pregnancy-specific PBPK (physiologically based pharmacokinetic) models to replace traditional animal studies and placental perfusion systems.
I’ll also be sharing some updates from recent conferences, including the Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI) and the Space Surgery Symposium in Houston, hosted by the Space Surgery Association.
Best,
Begum Mathyk
