Dear AWG Members,
Can anyone help @albasm1 ? She will be starting an experiment at the Lunares base. The ethical commission is giving her some problems. Her’s her message:
Looking for Licensed Psychologist for Urgent Research Collaboration (24th of June)
Hi all,
I’m looking for a licensed psychologist to collaborate on a research project linked to a space analog mission at the LunAres facility (Poland).
I need someone authorized to use the following questionnaires:
• EQ-5D
• NASA-TLX
• BDI-II
• GAD-7
The role involves authorizing the use of these tools and offering support with scoring and interpretation after data collection.
Due to a very short notice to provide the agreement to the corresponding Ethics Commission, I would need this collaboration to be confirmed by June 24th
If you’re available and interested, please feel free to contact me. I will be happy to provide more details!
Thanks a lot in advance,
Alba Sánchez Montalvo, PhD in biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences albasanchezm16@gmail.com
Thanks for helping her and please share if you can.
Regards,

It’s strange they’re requiring a licensed psychologist — These are mainly self-report tools commonly used in research settings without clinicians involved. I have a PhD in psychology (not clinical, though I have an MS in clinical), which as in the past allowed me to become an authorized user of certain research instruments, despite not being licensed as a clinician. (Though looking at these instruments, and from my past experience with some of them, I don’t know that they are ones that require a specific degree like the one I’m referring to where I needed the PhD.)
My husband is licensed, so I just reached out. He’s really not a researcher, but if she’s really up against the wire, he says he’s willing to pitch in his licensed status if it’s just a bit of scoring and interpreting.
If anyone else is licensed and sees this, I’d still encourage you to reach out in case you’re a better fit (which is likely if y you’re in this group).
