Hello @RegolithAWG and @AWGall
This Wednesday, we will be having a Regolith AWG meeting at 11:00 AM (Chicago). All are welcome to join.
First, we will continue our discussion on the lifecycle economics and balance between regolith-based agriculture, hydroponics, mycoponics, and other potential off-world agricultural systems. Last week, Dr. Richard Barker shared some insights which fostered a great discussion we hope to continue today. Second, we will discuss the Lunar and Martian mapping efforts. We have not yet had a chance to discuss these projects in a meeting and there is still not a well-defined objective set or definition of “model” agreed upon. However, I am going to propose a Bayesian network to assess lunar regolith suitability for agriculture. A researcher at my institution has offered for me to freely use his computing resources as long as we deliver him a high-quality Bayesian network.
Additionally, a new member sent me a model framework to assess the Martian surface. If we have time, we can discuss this too.
Let me know if you have any questions. I hope to see you there!
