Updates to RRRM-1/RR-8 scRNA-seq Datasets

The submitter of the RRRM-1/RR-8 dataset collection released in February 2026 has notified OSDR of an issue affecting a subset of samples in the scRNA-seq datasets. Specifically, tissue and experimental group annotations for these samples were incorrectly assigned due to a processing error. Unfortunately, the original labels cannot be reliably reconstructed.

As a result, the submitter has requested removal of all affected samples and associated data. The impacted tissues include Aorta, Thymus, Kidney, Spleen, Skin, and Mammary gland. The miRNA-seq datasets are not affected, as they were processed independently by a different laboratory.

The following updates have been made in OSDR:

  • For Thymus (OSD-907), Spleen (OSD-913), and Kidney (OSD-917), the scRNA-seq assays have been removed. The miRNA-seq datasets remain unchanged.

  • For Aorta (OSD-917), Mammary (OSD-925), and Skin (OSD-934), the studies have been removed from OSDR, as they contained only affected scRNA-seq data.

We appreciate your understanding and recommend users re-download or reanalyze data from the latest versions as needed to ensure use of the updated datasets.

Thanks for the updates, I lost the connection at the end.

Thank you @san-huei.laipolo for letting us know. Sounds like Brain samples are still ok?
