Hi folks,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Keerthana Gunarentam, interdisciplinary researcher at araCreate. I am currently working on a research proposal titles, “Comparative Bioinformatic Analysis of Tumor Suppressor and Oncogene Variants Across Human Cancer and Space Flight Induced Genomic Alterations”.

This project leverages publicly available cancer genomics datasets (TCGA) alongside NASA GeneLab Omics datasets, with the aim of uncovering overlapping genomic signatures that may inform both cancer biology and astronaut health.

Since this study is closely aligned with the goals of NASA GeneLab, I would be deeply grateful if members of the AWG could kindly provide feedback or a peer review of my proposal. Your expertise in spaceflight omics would be invaluable in strengthening the rigor, feasibility, and potential translational impact of this work. Any comments, suggestions, or guidance would mean a great deal and will help me refine the study further. Hi, we have already completed a pan-cancer vs spaceflight transcriptomic analysis and the manuscript is at the final stage. It has been a 2-year long study. You can check the details on presentations given during the previous AWG summit meeting, Multi-omics meeting, and in my latest OSDR Success story interview. @AfshinBeheshti @rtscott2001 The hypothesis mentioned in your post has been covered in the study.

@abegum is also working on breast cancer on similar lines. You could write to her if you are interested in joining!
