Digital Twin to Model the Effect of Spaceflight on the Retina

Hi @jgong, That sounds great! I will have my findings summarized ready for a timely presentation by Friday. However, I most likely will not be able to present during the meeting as I will have major background noise. I will structure the presentation in an easily interpretable manner, so if @amey-agarwal or another member would like to take over, they can do so. I apologzie for the inconvenience, thank you for understanding.

Thanks,
Kush

Hi @jgong and all, as we discussed in yesterday’s meeting, I have attached the script I used for deconvolution analysis of the bulk RNA-seq data: cibersortx_input_prep.R - Google Drive This script includes both R and Python components for preparing the input for CIBERSORTx. I have also added details on how to run the analysis on CIBERSORTx and how to interpret the results in this presentation: Loading Google Slides Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Lauren,
I was finally able to get the imputation incorporated for flight and non-flight data. Attached is the html (need to download and open in chrome): rr9_retina_dataset.html - Google Drive

There are four imputers I tried, and it looks like MICE with bagging regressor might be a better option to go with.
I am working on setting up the classifier for pre and post imputation to evaluate the imputers.

Hi all -

I am traveling on the road today but I will try to host a reduced, short meeting, just to check in and go over things. If I come in a little late, it is probably because of the network, but the Zoom will work. Feel free to use this time to discuss amongst yourselves before I come in.

Hi, in this presentation I’ve summarized the analyses I have completed so far: Analysis of RR9 and aging RNA-seq datasets.pptx - Google Slides Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend today’s meeting, but I will present the updated results next week. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

Apologies for not attending the last meeting! I had some religious commitments.

Hi @jgong ! My name is Sandrine, and I’m a newbie to the AWG! I currently work in ophthalmology, so this project piqued my interest. Is it still ongoing? If so, I’d love to contribute:)

Welcome Sandrine! @samudhan, I just emailed you the meeting calendar. See you soon!

Thank you so much Jian! Super stoked to be contributing soon. Looking forward to joining next Friday’s meeting :))

Hello @jgong and @james.casaletto!
I’m Yuanzhe (Anthony) Chen, a Master’s student in Electrical Engineering at UNSW Sydney. I’m very interested in contributing to your Digital Twin to Model the Effect of Spaceflight on the Retina project — particularly in data processing, imputation improvement, and CVAE-based digital twin modeling.
May I please join the team if there’s still space available?

You should see the meetings for the AWGs you belong to in your meeting calendar on the left hand panel ā€œAWG Meeting Calendarā€:

https://awg.osdr.space/upcoming-events/month/2025/10/1

Though most subgroup projects also have traditional email send calendar invites too. Having the calendar here helps ensure better transparency for AWG to see which options of subgroups

Cheers and welcome
