Check out our latest GeneLab Chats (soon to be OSDR Chats) video on YouTube where we hear recent high school graduate Fiona Samson and her GeneLab for High Schools (GL4HS) teammates describe the challenges of accelerated aging in space and its impact on long-term space missions. Fiona and team used dataset OSD-207 available from the Open Science Data Repository (OSDR) to investigate how spaceflight affects gene expression in fruit flies, and were able to publish in the Gravitational and Space Research Journal under the guidance of Liz Blaber @blabee and Sigrid Reinsch @sigrid.reinsch.
