Hello everyone! @PPawg
I’m Franco A. Pavan, a Master’s student in Biology at the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina
). I have research experience across histology, virology, and microbiology.
My thesis focuses on Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG), a GRAS-status and non-GMO probiotic strain already established for human consumption, which I’m developing as a carrier for making functionalized foods with multiple applications such as an oral vaccine platform or surface display of proteins of interest. Another part of my thesis characterizes how LGG tolerates and responds to environmental stress, changing its cell-wall components.
I also have some experience with data analysis in R and Python and have already enrolled in the GL4U course so that I can help as much as possible from the beginning!
Outside the lab, one of my passions is science communication. I’ve taught kids and adults about topics such as evolution, microbiology, and biotechnology at public events.
I’d love to learn more about all of you and your line of work!! Looking forward to connecting and collaborating soon! ![]()
